Dr Bob Thomas, a mentor and a friend, gave a presentation at the International Reliability Physics Symposium in 1985 on the effects of human contamination on the reliability of ICs. This pioneering talk spawned an industry and increased awareness concerning the deleterious effects of human contamination in IC manufacturing.
